Dominique Erleigh
Physiotherapist Bsc.Physiotherapy (Hons)Pilates Instructor

Dominique graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town, in 2006. After completing her community service year, in 2007, at a large teaching hospital in Gauteng, South Africa, she returned to Cape Town to join a private physiotherapy practice.
Dominique has worked in private practice ever since.
Dominique is a physiotherapist who believes in a holistic approach, with her interests lying in general orthopaedic, sports and neuromuscular-skeletal conditions. She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions from acute injuries to chronic pain syndromes.
Dominique qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2011 and has integrated these teachings into her treatment and rehabilitation plans. She starts with the basic principles and builds on these to return patients to a high level of function. This can be used across the board, from adolescents to the elderly and from office workers to sportspeople.
Dominique is qualified in Dry Needling and utilises this to complement her other treatment modalities, of manual and exercise therapy.
In South Africa, Dominique worked closely together with the Cape Academy of Performing Arts, treating both amateur and professional dancers and dance instructors.
Treating these young dancers led to an interest in treating adolescents presenting with growth spurt injuries, as well as foot and ankle injuries in any population. Dominique particularly enjoys pre- and post- operative foot and ankle rehabilitation.
Dominique has a special interest in lower limb amputee rehabilitation, having worked closely with prosthetist, Mr Michael Nel, in Cape Town. Together, they treated their patients holistically and achieved great results, focusing on the patient’s personal goals.
