Over 60's Pilates

Our over 60’s class allows you to work at your own pace in a gentle, relaxed and friendly environment. This class incorporates the Pilates principles and techniques and aims to improve posture, stability, flexibility and strength which aid in joint and back care.

All exercises can be modified to accommodate limitations due to arthritis, osteoporosis, or any other restrictions. Classes are run by a Chartered Physiotherapist with a special interest in this age group.

Modified Pilates for the over 60’s will:

  • Run at a slower pace
  • Be gentle on the vulnerable joints
  • Help protect against osteoporosis
  • Optimise posture and gait
  • Focus on improving balance and confidence in everyday activities

A more challenging class for those looking to take a step up in core function and strength.

This hybrid class combines traditional Pilates exercises with a selection of other functional core and strength exercises and attracts sports people and those who would enjoy a bit more of a strength emphasis.
