Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a deeper form of soft tissue massage which uses specific techniques to treat physically active individuals, who may be more vulnerable to injury because of the stresses placed on the body by their sport or activity.

While gentler forms of massage can be relaxing and soothing, they really don't go 'deep' enough to have any lasting effect on the body's soft tissues which include muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Sports massage stimulates the nervous and muscular systems, and improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow.

This type of massage encourages fresh supplies of oxygenated blood to reach the muscle tissues and flush out metabolic waste products and toxins.
