Physiotherapist

Bsc.Physiotherapy.Hons

Boudine qualified with BSc Physiotherapy (Hons) degree with distinction in South Africa in 2003. She was awarded the Molly Levy and Muriel Goodman awards for best student in 2000 and 2001 respectively as well as the Phillip Tobias Medal for top student in Human Anatomy. She spent 2 years working in London, gaining experience in various areas of physiotherapy, including on and off field injury management for a sports team. She worked in private practice upon returning to South Africa in 2007, owning practices at The Country Club Johannesburg, World of Golf and Life Fourways Hospital.

Due to the complex and synchronised body movements required to participate in any sport, there is always the potential risk of injury. This drove her post graduate education, including SPT1 in 2008 and the completion of her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012 at The University of the Witwatersrand. She feels that research and evidence based practice is essential in conjunction with continuous education in the clinical setting, so as to holistically manage a sports person.

Keen on embarking on an adventure and gaining further experience and expertise, she has found her way back to the UK. It has been her passion to participate in the ever growing world of sport, with a keen interest in golf, treatment of sports injuries and using functional exercise to assist sportsmen and women back onto the field. With this in mind, she is currently undertaking specialization courses to become an Extended Scope Practitioner in assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions, with the hip joint being a key area of interest.
