Pilates Instructor | Pilates Reformer Instructor

Tess qualified in 2014 after 2 years of in-depth study from a Polestar Comprehensive Pilates Course in London. Throughout her studies she had the great opportunity to learn from both contemporary as well as classically trained Pilates teachers which laid the best foundation to her unique and versatile approach to teaching.

Her passion lies in how Pilates can be functional and support everyday movement patterns, so people can take the principles learned in the class and use them in everyday life, not only to prevent injury but to feel better in general, to restore natural balance and to tune the mind and the body. Despite being a qualified teacher, Tess is also a proud student. She feels there are always new things to learn, whether it is attending a workshop, getting hands on a book or simply getting a bit of self-practice on her own or with her fellow instructors.

Tess has worked with a wide range of clients; from clients in need of rehabilitation to clients focused on improving their general fitness and well-being or athletes wanting to improve their game. Tess is currently working on completing her certification in pre and post-natal Pilates and is certified to perform a Fitness Screening.

What can you expect on your first session? It all starts with a Fitness screening to help to determine not only your fitness levels but also to reveal any hidden pathologies in your movement or alignment. You will then get started with Pilates foundation equipment exercises.

You will then be given an exercises routine that will be modified to suit your needs. As you progress the given exercises will become more challenging and transitions between exercises will be taught to ensure flow of the session. Your goals are Tess's priority so please feel free to be honest so she can amend and modify your routine as best as possible.
