Boxercise

Boxercise combines boxing and exercise in a great, fun, stress busting activity to suit men and women of all levels who want to enjoy boxing training without  the elitism of some so called purists.

An effective form of cross-training which combines use of both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems and sessions are based on the training concepts boxers use to get fit.

Boxercise benefits

Boxercise demands dynamic yet controlled movement in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout, but also enhances sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, mental agility, balance, and timing. Boxercise is fun, energetic and beware can be addictive.

The session

The session involves the co-ordination and combination of the 8 punches adding in some circuit style challenges. You will learn how to execute these punches safely and effectively and learn all the principles of boxing.

The session has a particular focus on how to improve core speed and power, strength, stamina and you will learn how to box with accuracy and efficiency.

You will learn how to jab, cross, hook and uppercut when learning your punches and will progress into more complex combinations that will challenge the mind as well as the body.

In addition we add Kickboxercise progressions to further enhance body movement by involving more of the legs into the sessions making it a complete whole body workout.
